This attractive cascade used to sit right beside local route 169, about midway between the Chiayi – Alishan highway and Tefuyie village. The white plume of water was a pretty sight in its own right, but the real attraction of coming here is to travel (preferably by scooter) the road, cut into a huge ravine and offering spectacular views as it descends towards the aboriginal village of Tefuyie. On our last visit in 2015, the waterfall seems to have been buried, following a large, typhoon-triggered landslide.

ACCESS: Easy; a very short clamber upstream from the road.
