Fengmei Waterfalls run a distant second after the very impressive Shengshen Valley among Luchang’s waterfalls. There are two small falls, maybe others (which would be difficult to reach) upstream. The small lower waterfall is a short and easy scramble upstream along the boulder-strewn streambed. Getting to the slightly larger upper fall involves some tricky clambering, although it can be glimpsed from the end of the trail.

BILIN WATERALL (比林瀑布) and GREAT STEEP WALL (峭壁雄風)
Two other waterfalls are also marked on maps of the Luchang area. Bilin Waterfall, on a tributary of the main stream, plunges down the cliffs near the narrowest point of the gorge, known as Stone Gate Gorge (石門峽谷). A little further (shortly before the trailhead for Shengshen Valley), the cliffs above the road reach their highest at a place called Great Steep Wall, where a tall waterfall plunges over the bluff. It’s whispy or non-existant, however, except after heavy rain.
